A number of projects were taken at Fort Kinnaird over the years including purchasing the land and obtaining planning consent to link Kinnaird Park to Edinburgh Fort. Retailers accommodated by the schemes extension included Marks and Spencer who opened a full line store and thus anchored one end of the scheme and more recently H&M and Smyths toys have taken units in this area.
