The site was occupied by Western Post and Mail for its offices and print works. A masterplan was devised which enabled the occupier to remain in its existing offices whilst a new office building was constructed on part of the site. Once the new 60,000 sq ft office building had been occupied the balance of the site was demolished and a site for a 250 bed hotel sold to Jurys and a residential site for 200 units sold to Dandara.
